I borrowed my mom’s BMW X6 and the gas light just came on. I don’t want to call her and ask, but I don’t know how to open the tank. How do I open the gas tank on the BMW X6?

Don’t you just hate when you don’t know where the right buttons are? To open the BMW X6 gas cap, turn off the car. Walk over to the driver’s side of the vehicle and look for the square fuel filler flap.

Gently press the rear edge of the flap and it will pop out a little. Swing the flap open and turn the tank lid counterclockwise. Fuel up the car, screw the tank lid back on and push the fuel filler flap closed. It’s that simple!
