Where is the Chevy Traverse battery located?
I’ve noticed that my car battery is struggling to start, so I want to get it tested. Call me crazy, but I popped the hood of my Chevy Traverse and I can’t find it. I must be missing something. Where can I find the battery on a Chevy Traverse?

You’re not crazy! Unlike most other vehicles, the Chevy Traverse battery is located in the second row behind the front passenger seat.
If you want to access the battery, follow these steps:
- Move the front passenger seat forward for more room.
- Lift the floor mat off the ground to unveil the housing compartment for the battery.
- Using a Torx-style screwdriver (six-sided star shape), remove the screw.
- Remove the plastic panel that’s over the top of the rear seat mounting.
- Lift up the panel and you should see the battery!
