Where is the 2011 Mercedes ML350’s battery located?
I just bought a used 2011 Mercedes ML350 and am trying to familiarize myself with where certain parts are—one that I haven’t been able to find is the battery, and I don’t have the owner’s manual to help me out. Where is the 2011 Mercedes ML350’s battery located?

Good on you for trying to understand your vehicle better! The 2011 Mercedes ML350’s battery is located in a somewhat unconventional spot—underneath the front passenger seat. To access the battery, you’ll need to follow the steps below:
- Slide the seat as far forward as possible and then tilt it as far forward as possible.
- Remove the plastic covering (it just snaps in and out of place).
- If this is the first time the battery has been changed/accessed, you’ll need to cut the carpet at the marks provided and then fold it forward.
- Remove the spreader clip and then lift the air vent up and out.
- Remove the battery cover (once again, this piece just snaps into place).
Once you have removed the cover, you should be able to see the battery, at which point it can be disconnected and replaced if necessary.
