My daughter and I are planning a Florida road trip, but we haven’t pinpointed where we’d like to stay. We’re into the idea of beach camping but aren’t sure where to look or what beaches permit it. Where are you able to go camping on the beach in Florida?

You can go camping on the beach in Florida at over 900 campgrounds. There are 10,000 campsites available on Florida’s coastline, from
Pensacola
to the Florida Keys
.Choose a campsite on Florida’s east coast if you want to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise—we recommend Gamble Rogers State Recreation Area, or a campsite on the west coast for the incredible sunset like Fort De Soto Park in
St Petersburg
.In the summer, you may want to opt for a Florida Panhandle campground like St. George Island State Park near
Tallahassee
to avoid the heat of the southern part of the state.If you’re headed to the Florida Keys, check out the following campgrounds:
