Where are Honda engines made?

I’m well aware that Honda is one of the biggest automakers in the world. However, I’m not sure if they outsource engine production to another country or if they make them in the U.S. for the American market. Where does Honda make its engines?

A great question! Honda engines for the American market are made in two locations: East Liberty, Ohio, and Lincoln, Alabama. These have been the engine production factories for the company for well over a decade, and Honda has no plans to change facilities.
Worldwide, Honda makes engines in several different countries, including:
  • Japan
  • China
  • Thailand
  • Italy
