What year was the first BMW X1 xDrive28i?

I just test drove a 2022 BMW X1, and I loved it. Unfortunately, the brand-new X1 xDrive28i is a little out of my price range, so I’m looking to get a used one instead. What year was the first BMW X1 xDrive28i?

2016 was the year the first
BMW X1 xDrive28i
was manufactured. The small crossover was the carmaker’s most affordable SUV that year and featured a wider, roomier interior and more cargo space than previous X1 models.
In fact, with up to 58.7 cubic feet of storage, the X1 xDrive28i had more room for cargo than any other vehicle in its class that year.
It also has an eight-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder inline engine that produces 228 horsepower. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and the EPA estimates its fuel economy at 26 miles per gallon.
Additionally, the 2016 BMW X1 xDrive28i has a decent selection of tech for a six-year-old car. It includes hill-descent control, as well as BMW Assist—an emergency communications system with automatic crash notifications, stolen vehicle recovery assistance, and access to roadside service. A head-up display, iDrive display screen, power liftgate, and frontal collision alert with pedestrian detection were available as optional upgrades.
According to Kelley Blue Book, the 2016 X1 xDrive28i sells for approximately $21,013 in 2022. Protect your investment with great
