s out there, it’s hard to keep track of them all! An available trim level to BMW’s 3 Series sedan, the 320i xDrive first came out in 2012 as part of the vehicle’s sixth generation. At the time, the luxury sport sedan was available with a 184-hp engine paired with your choice of a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. These options remained in production—with minor changes and upgrades, of course—through 2018.
Newer models of the 3 Series 320i xDrive come standard with a 184-hp engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can choose between standard front-wheel drive or upgrade to all-wheel drive.
