Oh no—they are so easy to lose! First, the size of your
Dodge Ram 1500
hubcaps depends upon your wheel size. Also, what you are referring to is likely the center cap and not a hubcap. Most trucks have a center cap that covers the center of the wheel.
Take off one of the remaining hubcaps/center caps and copy down the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part number to ensure that you order the correct size. Another approach is to inspect your wheel. The number that follows the R in the string of letters and numbers (usually 14, 15, 16, etc.) is your hubcap size.
Stock center caps start at $35, so replacing one shouldn’t be too costly.
Sometimes people don’t replac hubcaps—after all, they don’t always seem to serve much of a purpose. But in addition to dressing up your truck a bit, hubcaps protect your lug nuts and wheel bearings from road dirt and corrosion.
Best of luck replacing your missing hubcap!
When you want to replace a hubcap on your truck, it can take a bit more time than you anticipate. The same can be true when comparing

rates. Each insurance company requires you to fill out lengthy forms before you can see a quote. It’s not surprising, then, that most people give up after filling out an online application or two—and they often wind up paying too much as a result.
