What should you do when a left front tire blows out?

I’m a new driver and have always been nervous about a tire blowing out while I’m driving. I think it would be especially horrible if the driver’s side front tire were to pop, but I want to be prepared for anything. What is the right thing to do with a blown-out front left tire?

Blowing a tire while driving is scary! But your desire for preparedness will assist you in trying to keep a level head if this happens to you.
If your left front tire blows out while you’re driving, the first thing you should do is stay calm or at least attempt it. With a flat left front tire, your vehicle will likely start to pull to the left, so it’s important that you keep your hands on the steering wheel and try to steer as straight as you can.
Keep in mind that pressing on the brake may make the situation worse, so decelerate by simply removing your foot from the accelerator.
Try to steer your vehicle to the right side of the road as far as you can and turn your emergency lights on. If you’re able to change your own tire, you can carefully begin that process. If not,
call a towing company
, friend, or family member to help.
If you think your tire was damaged due to
vandalism
or if you were involved in an accident, jot down all the information about the situation for your insurance claim. Not sure how well your
