EU2200i generator takes SAE 10W-30 oil. Honda says the oil for the EU2200i generator should be replaced about every six months, or every 100 hours of use. Here’s how to replace the oil in your Honda EU2200i generator:
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to open the generator’s front panel
- Unscrew the dipstick, which is in the lower left corner
- Hold a container below the spot as you tilt the generator to its side, and let the old oil drain out
- Add 14 ounces of new oil to the generator
- With the generator level, you’ll know its full when the new oil comes to the edge
- Screw the dipstick back on
- Clean up any oil residue with a rag
