What kind of oil does a 2015 Nissan Altima take?

Now that I own my 2015 Nissan Altima free and clear, I would like to save a few bucks by doing some of the regular maintenance myself. I am ready to take on the oil change, but I can’t read the oil cap to see what to use. What kind of oil does a 2015 Nissan Altima take?

Doing maintenance yourself
is a great way to save money and get to know your car in the process!
The 2015
Nissan Altima
takes SAE 0W-20 engine oil. The manufacturer recommends using full synthetic oil during oil changes.
You have the option of choosing between synthetic and conventional oil. Your car’s manufacturer recommends synthetic oil—as do most modern manufacturers. Synthetic oils generally do a better job of protecting your engine.
