K5
is available in four trim levels, starting with the base LXS trim and ending with the GT trim, which is the K5’s top trim level. In between the LXS and the GT comes the GT-Line and EX trim levels. What makes the GT trim better than all the rest? Aside from swapping out the standard, 1.6-liter engine (capable of 180 horsepower) for a performance-enhancing, turbocharged 2.5-liter one (capable of 290 hp), the GT trim boasts 19-inch wheels and a sport-tuned suspension that makes handling a breeze. But its stand-out feature is its eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission that comes with paddle shifters mounted right on the steering wheel.
While the LXS, EX, and GT-Line are packed with standard safety features and luxury touches, the GT is made to perform—but that doesn’t mean it’s without amenities! In addition to an upgraded chassis and suspension, the tier-topping GT trim also includes luxury leanings like:
- A panoramic sunroof
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Heated and ventilated front seats
- Black exterior treatments
- LED foglights and tail lights
Just how much does the fanciest K5 cost? For the 2023 model, the K5 GT has a starting MSRP of just $31,000.
