What is the 2013 Honda Civic’s oil type?

I own a 2013 Honda Civic and have always done my own oil changes on previous cars. I’d also like to save a few bucks on this car—what oil should I buy?

Learning basic car maintenance is a great way to save money on car expenses. Your 2013
Honda Civic
requires Extended Performance Synthetic Motor Oil 0W-20 5 Quart. The oil type will remain the same between
trim levels
, but a larger engine will require more oil.
Honda recommends changing your oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, but if you’re using high-performance synthetic oil, every 5,000 to 7,500 miles is generally sufficient to keep your engine running well.
