I don’t like having to pay for car maintenance out-of-pocket, and I do like a good car warranty. I’m shopping for a new car, and I was wondering, what is covered in Volvo’s warranty?

come with a factory warranty that lasts for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. That’s not a very impressive length, but maintenance is complimentary for 3 years or 36,000 miles, which is excellent.Here’s a look at what Volvo’s new car warranty covers:
- Drivetrain—4 years / 50,000
- Corrosion—12 years / unlimited miles
- Roadside assistance—4 years / unlimited miles
- Maintenance—3 years / 36,000 miles
While four years isn’t impressive in and of itself, the three-year complimentary maintenance and four-year unlimited roadside assistance offer peace of mind for a few years at least. That said, Volvos don’t have a very good reputation for reliability, so even a short warranty can be really useful.
Regular maintenance goes a long way to protecting your investment and keeping your cost of ownership down. A comprehensive warranty can help keep your car in good repair, and purchasing an extended warranty can help you save money in the long run.
