What do triangle road signs mean?

I’m studying for my sign test for my license and I have to know sign shapes. What does a triangle sign mean?

It’s great that you’re preparing for your test! There are two possible shapes that you could be talking about here. Upside-down triangle road signs mean yield and typically only appears at
intersections
. The yield sign is the only one with this shape, so it’s usually the sign that’s being referred to when you see something about a triangle-shaped sign on your test.
However, there are also pennant-shaped signs that look like sideways triangles. These signs are no passing zone signs and are used to mark the end of passing zones or areas where it is otherwise dangerous to pass other vehicles. You’ll also see a double yellow line in the middle of the road in these areas.
