What causes low tire pressure in the summer?

I know it’s common for cold weather to cause low tire pressure. But it’s warm now, and my tire pressure is still low! What’s causing this? Why are my tires low in the summer?

Ack! How frustrating to think you have a car problem sorted out only for it to come back again. But don’t worry. There are a few potential reasons your tire pressure is low in the summer, including temperature changes or a slow leak.
Warmer weather means your tire pressure is probably more stable than usual. But depending on where you live, temperatures might still drop significantly overnight. Every 10 degree change in temperature equals a 1 psi change in pressure, so if you’re noticing lower tire pressure in the morning, that could be why.
Another problem to check for is a slow leak. A slow leak is a gradual loss of air through a small breach—like a hole—in the tire itself or around the valve. They don’t usually cause hissing or any noticeable symptoms besides loss of pressure, so it can be hard to spot them. Look for small holes or
embedded objects like nails
