Should my truck have 17 or 18-inch wheels?

I’m getting my Ford F-150 set up for offroading and I’m hoping to upgrade my tires, but I don’t understand the difference between the 17 and 18-inch options. Should I get 17 or 18-inch tires for my truck?

The best setup for your truck depends on what you’re hoping to use it for. Since you’ll be using your truck for off-roading, you will likely find more tire options if you opt for 17-inch tires.
17-inch wheels also tend to be less expensive than their 18-inch counterparts, and their larger sidewall makes for a more comfortable ride.
However, many drivers do opt for 18-inch tires for aesthetic purposes, as the larger diameter of the wheel tends to look better on a truck. Keep in mind that these tires sit on the heavier side and can be a bit noisier than 17-inch tires.
With whatever tire you choose, you’ll want to ensure you’re protected on the road with the right car insurance policy. To find savings on policies in just 45 seconds, download
