How much does it cost to register a car in Oklahoma?

I just moved to Oklahoma from Kansas, so I think I need to re-register my car. Unfortunately, I’m a little strapped on cash right now. What does it cost to register a car in Oklahoma?

Congratulations on the move! Hopefully, you’re having an easy time settling in. Altogether, you’ll need to pay $136 to register your vehicle in Oklahoma.
While that might sound a little pricey, it accounts for six fees, including:
  • $11 title fee
  • $96 registration fee
  • $4 certificate of ownership
  • $4 VIN inspection
  • $4 plate fee
  • $17 title transfer fee
On top of registration fees, you need to transfer your license within 30 days of your move. Transferring your license will be an additional $27 fee. But before you begin, you must purchase an Oklahoma insurance policy before registering your vehicle.
Luckily, you can find a new policy and save money with Jerry. A licensed broker, the Jerry app can help you find and compare quotes from over 50 top providers for free. With Jerry, users save an average of nearly $900 a year on car insurance—and it only takes a minute to sign up!
