Is the Ford Focus ZX4 AWD?

I’m looking for an older Ford Focus sedan for my newly licensed kids to use. I want an all-wheel-drive model, though. Would the Focus ZX4 work?

Unfortunately, the
Ford
Focus ZX4 is not AWD—it came in front-wheel drive only. The ZX4 sedan was last produced in 2006, but no version of the Focus is equipped with all-wheel drive.
If you’re looking for a used Ford around the same vintage, you might want to scout out a 2006
Ford Five Hundred
Sedan. Here are some highlights:
  • All-wheel drive option
  • Balanced handling and a smooth ride
  • Functional and roomy cabin, loads of trunk space, and terrific visibility
With a 3.0 L V6 engine with 203 horsepower**, it’s not the most powerful car you’ll be able to find. But if you’re newly licensed kids are driving it, you might be more comfortable knowing they have a safe (it’s got front and side-impact airbags), more boat-ish car that won’t be winning races any time soon.
Whether you’re driving a Ford Focus or a Ford Five Hundred, you’ll want to protect both with a robust
