Is paint covered under the Nissan warranty?

I’ve only had my Nissan for about a year and the paint is already starting to chip. Does my warranty cover that?

 have a five-year corrosion coverage warranty that covers damage caused by rust. If your car’s paint has been damaged due to rust and by no fault of your own, it may be covered.
If your paint has begun chipping due to wear and tear, you might be out of luck. Like most bumper-to-bumper warrantiesNissan’s limited warranty does not include paint in its coverage.
Some ways that you can take care of your car’s
paint job
 include:
  • Keeping your car somewhere shaded
  • Washing your car regularly
  • Waxing your car
You can get a basic paint job for around $500 if you aren’t looking for anything special. If you want something high quality, you can expect to pay well over $1,000 for the job.
