Is LiMu emu a real emu?

Settle an argument, please—my sister and I both love the LiMu emu commercials, but she *insists* that it’s a real emu. I say no way you could get an emu to wear a Polo shirt, and that it’s gotta be a CGI emu. Who’s right? Is LiMu emu a real emu?

We love LiMu too! He’s our kind of bird.
LiMu emu is a mix of real emus and CGI effects. Live emus were used for the initial shots in the popular
Liberty Mutual
commercials, and then digital effects and rendering were blended in post production. We know it’s rarely satisfying when the answer to who’s right in an argument is “both of you”, but there you have it.
