Is lane splitting legal in Arkansas?

I just got my motorcycle license and can’t wait to hit the road. To be honest, one of the reasons, I really want a motorcycle is to weave in and out of traffic. It must be so nice! I need to know, though, is it legal to lane split in Arkansas?

You’re going to love riding a motorcycle! Technically,
lane splitting is legal
in
Arkansas
, although it’s a bit of a grey area based on some legal wordage that states that vehicles can swerve outside a lane when safe.
However, Arkansas motorcycle drivers should also be aware of the following laws:
  • Two motorcycles can share a lane side by side.
  • Motorcycle helmets
are not legally required if you’re over 21 years old.
  • Motorcycle operators must wear eye protection.
  • All motorcyclists must use daytime headlights.
Make sure you’re extra cautious when learning to ride a motorcycle. It’s something that takes a lot of time and practice to master.
