Is Honda serious about electric cars?
I’ve been a loyal customer of Honda for many years because of the reliability of their cars, but I’d like to switch to an electric car. I’ve noticed that Honda doesn’t yet offer an EV in North America, but will this change some time soon? Is Honda serious about electric cars?

Honda
is one of the many brands that is embracing electric cars, and has several initiatives in the works to introduce more green vehicles
into its fleet. Some of Honda’s goals include:- Spending $40 billion on EVs over the next decade
- Launch some 30 EV models by 2030
- Have a 40% electric fleet by the end of the decade
- Phase out sales of gas-powered cars completely by 2040
- Pledged that all models it introduces in China will be electric after 2030
Honda does sell one EV currently, the Honda e, but it is not yet available in the U.S. Honda plans to launch the fully electric SUV Honda Prologue for 2024.
