Is cruise control bad for your car?

I heard somewhere that cruise control can damage your car if you use it too often. I love using it on long road trips, but I’ll stop if it’s bad. Can using cruise control too much hurt your car?

It’s great that you’re being cautious! Luckily, cruise control does not damage your car. In fact, quite the opposite—cruise control is often better for your can than constant acceleration and deceleration.

on the driveline. It also uses more fuel. In short, using cruise control is actually good for your car, particularly when you’re driving long distances.
