Can someone else ride with me while driving for Lyft?
I get pretty bored in between rides when there are no passengers to talk to. I was thinking about inviting my husband to join me for the workday. Can someone else ride with me while I drive for Lyft?

Other passengers can not ride with you while driving for Lyft. You’ll have to ride solo even when you don’t have customers.
Here is Lyft’s statement on the policy:
“Don’t bring your friends or family along. Lyft passengers expect to get a professional, vetted driver. It can make passengers feel unsafe if there’s an unknown person accompanying the ride.”
Even though you are considered an independent contractor, you still have to uphold the company standards at Lyft.
