Is a cracked windshield covered under Ford’s warranty?

I picked up my new car from the Ford dealership not even a month ago and there’s already a huge crack growing across my windshield. Will my Ford warranty cover a cracked windshield?

 can be a pain—especially on a new car! Unfortunately, it’s highly unlikely that your cracked windshield is covered under its warranty from Ford. Here’s why.
Factory warranties like Ford’s 3-year/36,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty only cover the components of your car from malfunctions and damages that can be traced back to a faulty manufacturing. You’d have to be able to prove that your cracked windshield is the result of a defective part or improper installation—it’s not impossible, but not very likely.
