Hyundai Ioniq Tire Pressure Check: How Do I Do It?

I recently bought a Hyundai Ioniq, and it’s been saving me hundreds at the pump! However, it has started to ride a bit erratically, so I want to check the tire pressure. The only issue is that I’ve never done it before. How do I check the tire pressure on a Hyundai Ioniq?

Regardless of whether you have a hybrid or an all-electric version of the Ioniq, checking the tire pressure works the same. Both models are equipped with a tire pressure monitor system, which allows you to see the psi.
If you need to check the tire pressure manually to fill the tires, here’s what to do:
  1. Locate the valve stem.
  2. Unscrew it.
  3. Push the tire gauge against the valve stem to get a psi reading.
  4. This will let you know whether you need to add or remove air from the tire.
  5. Fill the tires with air as necessary.
  6. If you need to remove air, press the backside of the tire gauge against the valve stem.
  7. Repeat for all tires as a good general practice.
  8. You’re done.
