How to put a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder in neutral with no power
The battery in my 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is drained. I need to push it out so it can get a jump, but without power I can’t shift it into neutral. Could you tell me how to put a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder in neutral with a dead battery?

We’re sorry your battery drained! That’s frustrating for sure. Unfortunately, shifting your 2022 Nissan Pathfinder into neutral with a dead battery is even more frustrating. But we can try and walk you through it here!
First, you’ll need to acquire a couple of tools—you’ll need a flathead screwdriver and a small crescent wrench (four to six inches will work).
You’ll need to pop the hood, and remove the large black plastic air intake from the engine bay. Next, we’ll need to find a few key landmarks: a white tag that says “Nissan” and “S1”, stuck to a black cylinder. And a green tag with serial and model numbers on it.
Now look just to the right of the green sticker and below that Nissan/ S1 sticker for a little roundish stud sticking up. That little stud will need to be turned counter-clockwise and then held in place to manually shift the car into neutral. Once it’s released, it will spin back and put the car into park.
Keeping the car in neutral is where your flathead screwdriver comes into play. You can wedge it into the small gap between your crescent wrench and a black metal brace when it opens as you’re twisting the stud.
You can now push your 2022 Nissan Pathfinder to where it needs to go. Just please be super careful while pushing the car around in this state, and also be careful when you take it out of this overridden neutral state.
