“Noticing paint swirls is alarming but fixable! Typically they occur due to micro-scratches in your car’s clear coat. Using an abrasive cloth, a car wash, and even buffing or waxing can cause paint swirls.
To fix paint swirls yourself, you will need:
  • Swirl mark remover
  • Clay mitt or bar
  • Non-abrasive cleaning cloth
First, you’ll need to wash and polish your car thoroughly. Once clean, use the clay bar or mitt to help buff the area. Then, apply the swirl mark remover to the area, working in circular motions. Finally, use a microfiber towel to clean off the excess remover.
If this doesn’t work, you’ll need to visit an auto body repair or collision shop to fix the paint swirls. If you go this route, be sure to request
quotes from multiple body repair shops
to ensure you get the best price.
Along with getting a quote from repair shops, consider getting quotes for your
car insurance
as well. Regularly shopping for car insurance can help save you money. It also ensures your car has the proper protection for any damage that may occur.
