I have asthma, so I’m always worried about air quality. I know that my car has an air filter, but I’m not sure how often I should change it. How often should I replace the cabin air filter on my Toyota?

can definitely help you breathe cleaner air when you’re driving. According to Toyota, you should replace the filter every 15,000 miles.Changing the cabin air filter is important for several reasons:
- Improving airflow in the cabin
- Reducing dust in the cabin
- Eliminating unpleasant odors
To change the cabin air filter in your Toyota, follow these steps:
- Open the glove box and remove the dampener arm on the interior of the left-hand side.
- Pinch in the interior sides of the glove box to pull it out.
- Look for the air filter housing behind the glove box.
- Unclip the tabs and take out the air filter.
- Put in the new air filter.
- Repeat these steps in reverse order to put everything back together.
If you replace the cabin air filter yourself, expect to pay between $30 and $70, depending on your model year and trim.
