How much is Toyota depreciation?

I don’t have a ton of money for a new car, but I’d like to get something that holds its value. I’ve heard that Toyotas last forever, so that also makes me think that it’s a viable option for me. How much do Toyotas depreciate on average?

With 27 vehicles in the U.S. market, nailing down the exact Toyota depreciation isn’t easy. But on average, you can expect Toyota depreciation to reach right around 20% over five years. Compared to other brands, this is some of the lowest depreciation in the industry.
Toyota also has six vehicles in the top 25 for the lowest depreciation over five years on the market today:
  • Toyota Prius: 17.1%
  • Toyota Tacoma: 17.4%
  • Toyota 4Runner: 19.4%
  • Toyota Highlander: 20.6%
  • Toyota Corolla: 21%
  • Toyota RAV4: 21%
