Sounds like a big move! There are some tariffs and taxes that will apply when you ship your vehicle to another country, and the cost can change depending on the value of your vehicle. But, expect to pay between $2,000 and $3,000 to ship your car from Florida to Colombia.
Besides the cost of your vehicle, other factors can impact how much you can expect to pay to ship your vehicle, including:
- Vehicle category (van, passenger car, truck)
- Weight
- Shipping speed
- Exact delivery distance
In addition to these variables, there will also be taxes and fees applied to your final quote for the shipping, including an import tariff of 35% for cars, or 15% for trucks and vans.
Consumption tax will also be added at 8% for vehicles worth less than $30,000, or 16% for vehicles valued at over $30,000. These taxes may change from time to time, so you should check in with the Colombian embassy for up-to-date information.
