How much does it cost a BMW Extended Warranty?
I’ve been loving my BMW for almost four years now, which means the warranty is almost up. I’m thinking about extending my BMW warranty, but I want to make sure it’s worth it. How much does a BMW extended warranty cost?

An extended warranty can provide some peace of mind when you’re driving around in your beloved BMW, but it’s not always worth it. A BMW extended warranty can cost as much as $1,000 to $1,500 a year depending on the following factors:
- The length of coverage
- The level of coverage
- Where you buy the warranty
When you purchase a BMW extended warranty you can choose to add one to three years/25,000 to 50,000 miles to the original warranty period. You’ll also have to choose how much coverage you want the extended warranty to offer, based on the following levels in order from least to most coverage:
- Powertrain Plus
- Gold
- Platinum
Longer warranties and/or those with a higher level of coverage will cost more. You can buy your extended warranty from BMW or a third-party source. That means that you may be able to score a deal on your desired level of extended warranty coverage if you compare offers from multiple providers.
