How much does a 2014 GMC Acadia transmission replacement cost?

So apparently I’m going to need a new transmission after some random jerks flipped my 2014 GMC Acadia last night in the parking lot. Apparently, my insurance isn’t going to cover it because it wasn’t related to a collision at all—which seems like nonsense. Anyway, how much can I expect this replacement to cost me?

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that! A 2014 GMC Acadia transmission replacement costs between $2,600 and $3,200, depending on your mechanic’s hourly rates.
The cost of the new transmission is probably going to be somewhere between $1,800 and $2,400, while the rest of the cost accounts for labor. Replacing a transmission is a pretty involved process and it takes a while, so the labor costs tend to be quite high.
To avoid getting in a bind like this again, it’s a good idea to regularly review your
GMC Acadia car insurance
to see what types of coverage you have, how much it’s costing you, and how much it would cost for similar coverage from other providers.
