How can I fix my check engine light bulb?
I know my car is due for some routine maintenance, but the check engine light hasn’t come on like it usually does. I also noticed the check engine light doesn’t flash when starting the vehicle. Is there a way to fix my check engine light bulb?

You’re right; something’s probably up if your check engine light isn’t flashing when you turn your ignition on or are due for a maintenance check.
The process to fix a check engine light bulb depends on the make and model of your vehicle: it can be as simple as loosening a few screws and replacing the bulb, or it could require more extensive work.
If you want to do it yourself, first check your owner’s manual to check for specific instructions. You may have to remove display panelling or go beneath the steering wheel and remove the instrument cluster, then unscrew the socket and pull out the bulb.
This may be difficult for people inexperienced with cars. You can always visit a mechanic and ask them to do it for you. The fix shouldn’t take long, and they should be able to complete it while performing the other routine maintenance.
