How much can I make driving Uber in Chicago?
Would I be able to make a lot of money as an Uber driver in Chicago? I moved here pretty recently and I’ve been having a bit of trouble finding work, but I do have my car with me. It seems like I would be able to make some good money working for Uber, but I’m not sure if I would actually be able to support myself.

.This is in part because you’re in charge of your own hours when you work for Uber, so there’s a lot of variation in terms of how often people actually hit the road. Uber drivers also work partially for tips, so one driver could make a lot more in a night than another if their riders tip more.
So while you can likely support yourself by working for Uber, it might not be the most stable job environment. If you’re looking for a fixed salary, benefits, and fixed hours, you’ll want to look for employment elsewhere.
