Getting a CDL is an exciting step! The regulations regarding how many times you can fail your CDL driving test vary from state to state, but you can typically take the test three times without having to pay any additional fees. If you fail your test three times, most states will require an additional fee and will ask you to wait for 30 days before retaking the test.
