How many points before your license is suspended in West Virginia?

How many driving points is too many in West Virginia? I don’t know if my driving record is good, bad, or normal for someone my age. Should I be worried about license points or license suspension?

License points can affect you in a couple of ways, so it’s a good idea to at least be aware of them. If you get 12 points in 24 months, your license can be suspended in
West Virginia
. The length of your suspension will depend on the number of points you get:
  • 12 to 13 points: 30 days
  • 14 to15: 45 days
  • 16 to 17: 60 days
  • 18 to 19: 90 days
If you get more than 20 points, your license will remain suspended until you reduce your point total to 11 or less.
While you’re learning about how driving points affect your license, consider how they affect your insurance. The
