How many cylinders are in a Tesla Model 3?
I keep reading about how great Teslas are and my buddy tells me how much he loves the Model 3 all the time. To be honest, I want to learn more about them, but my searches on how big the engines are keep coming up empty. How many cylinders does the Tesla Model 3 engine have?

It’s no surprise that your Tesla Model 3 searches are coming up empty as the Tesla Model 3 actually doesn’t have any cylinders at all!
Engine cylinders are a feature of internal combustion engines, but the Tesla Model 3 is fully electric and uses electric motors and battery packs. As a result, the motors don’t have cylinders, instead relying on power from the battery pack to propel them forward.
In the past, an electric motor may have seemed underpowered, but the Model 3 offers up to 455 horsepower, a 0-60 mph time as low as 3.1 seconds, and an electric range between 272 and 358 miles.
