How many cars are registered in Arizona?

Does Arizona have more cars than Oklahoma? I came to Arizona for college and I feel like I’ve seen way more cars here than I did back home. I’m not sure if that’s just because I’m in a big city or if there are actually more cars.

There are 7,764,367 cars registered in
Arizona
as of the 2022 census.
This is largely due to population. Arizona has almost 7.2 million people in the state, whereas Oklahoma’s population is under 4 million.
It may also be that living in a big city just means encountering a higher number of vehicles, and you aren’t used to it yet. Think about it this way—you’re driving among residents, commuters, and visitors. And over 32 million tourists visited AZ in 2020 (although many surely used alternate transportation).
