How many 2019 Honda Civic Type Rs were made?
I’m a big fan of performance Hondas, particularly the Civics. I’d really like a Civic Type R, but the new ones are a little out of my range—I’m looking for used options, but I’ve heard that the Civic Type R can be a little hard to find for some model years. Do you know how many 2019 Honda Civic Type Rs were made?

Honda
makes some amazing performance cars, and their regular ones aren’t too shabby either! It’s difficult to tell exactly how many 2019 Honda Civic Type R
s were made. Car and Driver reported in a 2020 review that about 26,000 of them had been produced since 2017, but it’s not clear just how many of them were made in 2019. As you noted, the “Type R” designation is Honda’s performance line, and they’re distinguished with a red “H” logo on the grille. They’re widely popular among enthusiasts—unfortunately, buying used might not mean a lot of savings! A quick search through Carvana found 2019 Honda Civic Type Rs going for around $40,000.
If you do end up deciding to bite the bullet and get a new model, the 2023 Type Rs look pretty good. Car and Driver gave it a perfect 10 and named it one of their 10 Best cars of the year.
