How long does the hybrid battery last in a 2012 Camry?

I bought my Toyota Camry new in 2012 and it’s been a great car, but recently I’ve been having issues with getting it started. How long are the hybrid batteries supposed to last? Should I get mine replaced?

It can be really frustrating when your vehicle isn’t working like it used to. Fortunately, there might be an easy fix for your battery issues.
For a
Camry hybrid
made before 2020, the manufacturer suggests that the battery pack should last for around eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Since your vehicle is past the eight-year mark, it may be time to replace the battery.
Once you get your new battery installed, there are some ways to extend its lifespan. Here are some tips:
  • Keep up with your car’s regular maintenance schedule
  • Follow all manufacturer guidelines for charging your battery
  • Avoid driving in extreme temperatures
Regular vehicle maintenance is just one way to make sure your vehicle stays in good working order. Another way is to complement that regular maintenance with great car insurance coverage.
