How long does it take to charge a Chevy Volt?

Does charging a Chevy Volt take a long time? I’m really interested in an electric car because of the lower annual cost, but I’m worried that charging it will take forever.

Electric cars are great if you want to cut down on your annual car expenses! The amount of time that it takes to charge a
Chevy Volt
 depends on the type of charger you’re using. If you have a 110-volt charger, charging your Volt will take 13 hours. If you have a 220-volt charger, it will only take 2.3 to 4.5 hours for your car to reach full charge.
Depending on the model year, the Chevy Volt can travel between 38 and 53 miles on a single full charge. If you’re just using your car to get to and from work, this should be more than enough. If you’d like to use your vehicle for long-distance travel, however, you might want to opt for a different electric vehicle.
