Enjoy working in Dallas! The traffic in
Dallas
is pretty bad considering that it’s one of the largest cities in the United States. Actually, it’s fairly notorious for its rush-hour jams.
Here is what you need to know about Dallas traffic:
  • Dallas’ worst traffic comes during rush hour, which is 7 am–9:30 am and 3 pm–6:30 pm.
  • The I-45 at I-30 and US 75 at I-635 are consistent chokeholds. Avoid these if possible.
  • A high percentage of car accidents in Dallas happen in high-traffic areas during rush hour
  • In 2020, Dallas drivers spent roughly 40 hours in traffic
Being stuck in traffic doesn’t have to be a horrible experience. Here are some things you can do to safely pass the time:
  • Make sure your hands-free device is connected to your Bluetooth, then call someone. It’s a great time to check in with an old friend.
  • Use the time to think about your goals and what you want to achieve for the *rest of the week
  • Listen to a podcast or an audiobook. You could finally read Anna Karenina with how much time you spend not moving on the highway.
Most importantly, don’t let the frustration of traffic get to you. You don’t want to make the situation worse or experience road rage.
A traffic jam is also a great time to consider whether you’re overpaying for your car insurance. If you have even the slightest inkling that you are, then trust
