How do you turn your car off in NFS Heat?
I’ve been playing Need For Speed Heat, but I can’t figure out how to turn off my car. What is the trick?

Even if you’ve been playing NFS Heat for a while, you might not know how to turn your car off. It’s pretty easy to do, although the steps will vary based on your game console.
No matter your console, if you want to turn off
the engine
on your car in Need For Speed Heat, the first thing you should do is bring your car to a complete stop—even if the car is moving slowly, the engine will continue to run.The next step depends on your console:
- If you play on Playstation, you need to press L1 and Square simultaneously
- If you play on Xbox, you need to press LB and X simultaneously
After you’ve followed these steps, you won’t have to listen to your car anymore. If you’re participating in any sort of race or event this isn’t going to work, but it wouldn’t be useful in those cases anyway.
Turning off
your engine has a few uses, such as avoiding the police. You could even turn off your car just to see if it has a unique start-up sound.Once you finish up your next NFS Heat session, you should consider taking a look at your real car’s insurance coverage.
