How do you turn off speed-sensitive volume control?

Can I turn off the speed-dependent volume control feature in my BMW? It’s super annoying and doesn’t really seem to help much with playing over the road noise, so I would love to just turn the feature off.

Here are the steps you’ll need to follow to turn off your speed-sensitive volume control in your
BMW
:
  1. Open your iDrive menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Tone.
  4. Set the speed-sensitive volume control to OFF.
If you’d rather change the sensitivity of the feature:
  1. Press and hold the music note key until your display reads SPEED VOL.
  2. Use the + and - buttons to raise or lower the sensitivity as you choose.
  3. Press the musical note key again to save your changes.
