How do you start a car in DAYZ?

I’m shopping for a house and I found a great deal on one. The only problem is that it’s about 35 miles outside the city where I work. How long would it take to drive 35 miles?

I moved to a rural area where deer are everywhere. They often run across the road, which is scary even if I see them ahead of time. For the sake of insurance, is accidentally hitting a deer considered an at-fault accident?
