How do you reset the tire pressure warning light in a BMW?

How can I reset a tire pressure warning in my BMW? The last few weeks the tire pressure warning light has kept coming on and off. I've checked the tires and they have the right amount of air. Can I reset it?

Inconsistencies like that can be so frustrating. Thankfully, BMW does allow you to reset your tire pressure warning light.
Here are the steps:
  • From the main menu of your IDrive screen, select My Vehicle.
  • Then, touch Vehicle status.
  • Now activate the Tire Pressure Monitor by clicking its icon.
  • The tire pressure monitor will display the current pressure of your tires.
  • You should then have an option to select Perform Reset on the information screen.
It’s important to know if all tires show green post reset, the current pressure is correct. However, a tire highlighted in red indicates incorrect pressure. A mechanic or auto repair shop can help troubleshoot the issue or your tire.
