Oh no! I’m sorry to hear your Bluetooth isn’t working, but you’re on the right track to getting it back in working order. In most cases, a simple reset will do the trick, so here’s how to reset the Bluetooth in a
GMC Terrain
.
Before you get started, make sure your mobile device is up to date with the latest software version available. If your device is out of date, it may be causing some issues with the connection.
To reset your Bluetooth, you will need to delete and reconnect your phone. With your vehicle on, go to the list of paired devices on your touchscreen. Select the phone name and select Delete. Confirm that the device has been removed from the list.
Next, remove the vehicle from your phone’s list of paired devices. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and find the vehicle name. Select Delete or Forget This Connection.
Now that your device has been unpaired, you can reset the system. Turn off your GMC, open and close the vehicle door, and wait two minutes. You can then pair your phone to vehicle again.
If resetting your Bluetooth system doesn’t solve your problem, take your GMC to a certified dealer to inspect the system.
