How do you reboot a Tesla Model S?

I'm having some weird computer issues with my Tesla, and I think I need to reboot it. How do I do that?

It’s definitely frustrating when your car doesn’t work as expected. You can reset the computer in your
Tesla
while your car is parked by pressing and holding the two scroll buttons on your steering wheel until the display screen goes black. After a few moments, the computer will turn on again.
If that doesn’t work, try this:
  • Click Controls
  • Click Safety and Security
  • Click Power Off
  • Don’t touch anything, including your doors and steering wheel, for two to five minutes.
  • Once you’ve waited as long as you can, press the brake to start your car agan.
If your computer still won’t work, it’s time to make a service appointment.
If you’re worried about mechanical problems in your car, you might want to see if you can get that kind of thing covered by your insurance policy. The
Jerry
app can help you to be sure that your new car is protected for the best price.
